REPORT PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 2026 - HYDROGEN-POWERED AVIATION: A PATHWAY TO DELIVERY AND GROWTH.
Since HIA published its Milestone Delivery Report in 2024 the domestic and international policy landscape has evolved significantly. Our new report finds that Britain has built a strong foundation to become a global leader in hydrogen-powered aviation through world-leading technology demonstrations, regulatory development and long-term aerospace R&D investment. However, as other nations accelerate their hydrogen deployment, HIA cautions that the UK must urgently address delivery gaps across airports, aircraft, and hydrogen fuel.
